Having roots in 5 different bands, the (International) Noise Conspiracy came to live in the latter fortune of 1998 in their hometown of Umeå, Sweden. The group's basketball team members set out to use its music as an attack against capitalist cultivation at large by taking the universal proposition mind of popular culture and modelling the basis of its phenomenon into statements of resistance. As far as the music goes, it's a loan-blend of service department rock'n'roll and psyche of the 1960s mixed with the punk rocker of the recent 1970s. Since their formation, the quintette has released a handful of 7" records and two uncut albums, which include 1999's The First Conspiracy and 2000's Natural selection Sickness.
Spell-bound by a quote from singer/songwriter Phil Ochs that states "the everlasting careen outfit would be a combination of Elvis and Che Guevara," guitarist/vocalist Lars Strömberg and lead vocalist Dennis Lyxzén distinct to protrude a group in the fall of 1998 that would make reality of that statement. Lyxzén had precisely witnessed the implosion of his hard-core band Refused and was athirst to protrude afresh with a mathematical group that would use the music it created as a political vehicle. Prior to Saidwas, Almgren had made a name for herself playing guitar with the Umeå metal outfit Doughnuts. With the card in place for the (External) Noise Conspiracy, the band stepped into the studio apartment in 1999 to record 12 songs. The tracks were released as a series of basketball team 7" records by and by that year on quaternity different labels, including the band's possess The Black Mask Collective, as well as on Premonition, Car Crash, and Trans Solar Records. El-P collaborator dies
El-P collaborator Camu Tao has died at the age of 30.
The Ohio-based rapper and producer, whose real name was Tero Smith, had been battling lung cancer for nearly two years. He passed away on Sunday (May 25) in his hometown of Columbus.
Tao was signed to the Definitive Jux label. He was a member of the duo S.A. Smash with fellow rapper Metro, performed in the rap group Weathermen, and was part of the Central Services production team with El-P.
In a posting on his blog, El-P wrote:
"We, his friends and family, have truly had our collective hearts broken by (Tao's) passing. Not only because of the loss of our friend, but because of the loss of his contribution to those who never knew what we knew about his talent and his potential.
"He was the secret that no one wanted to keep and we always knew that one day his vision and his heart could change music forever the way he changed all of our lives."

Amy Winehouse - Winehouse Given Appeal Court Date For Drug Possession
British soul star AMY WINEHOUSE has been summoned to appear in a Norwegian court next year (09) to appeal a fine for marijuana possession.
The troubled singer and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested in Bergen, Norway last year (Oct07) on suspicion of possessing cannabis.
At the time of arrest, the 24-year-old was issued with a $714 (GBP357) fine, which she accepted, not realising that paying up is the same as pleading guilty in the Scandinavian country.
The initial appeal hearing was scheduled for 29 February (08) but was postponed at her lawyer's request because of the absence of her spouse, who is currently incarcerated in London's Pentonville Prison on charges of perverting the course of justice in relation to earlier charges of grievous bodily harm.
On Wednesday (14May08) the singer discovered she would not face drugs charges, relating to a video handed in to police in London in January (08), that purportedly showed her smoking crack cocaine.
A spokesperson for the star says, "Police have confirmed that no action will be taken against Amy Winehouse in relation to an investigation into a video handed to them in January."
"Amy is pleased to be able to move on and concentrate on music and particularly looks forward to seeing her fans again at eagerly awaited festival performances this summer."
