Having roots in 5 different bands, the (International) Noise Conspiracy came to live in the latter fortune of 1998 in their hometown of Umeå, Sweden. The group's basketball team members set out to use its music as an attack against capitalist cultivation at large by taking the universal proposition mind of popular culture and modelling the basis of its phenomenon into statements of resistance. As far as the music goes, it's a loan-blend of service department rock'n'roll and psyche of the 1960s mixed with the punk rocker of the recent 1970s. Since their formation, the quintette has released a handful of 7" records and two uncut albums, which include 1999's The First Conspiracy and 2000's Natural selection Sickness.
Spell-bound by a quote from singer/songwriter Phil Ochs that states "the everlasting careen outfit would be a combination of Elvis and Che Guevara," guitarist/vocalist Lars Strömberg and lead vocalist Dennis Lyxzén distinct to protrude a group in the fall of 1998 that would make reality of that statement. Lyxzén had precisely witnessed the implosion of his hard-core band Refused and was athirst to protrude afresh with a mathematical group that would use the music it created as a political vehicle. Strömberg shared the same enthusiasm and immediately co-founded the (International) Noise Conspiracy with his quaker Lyxzén. At the time, Strömberg was performing with the Umeå punk band Separation, with whom he quiet plays. The duad set out to hunt down more members wHO shared their ideals. They found a bassist in their acquaintance Inge Johansson, wHO was, and still is, playing with the Umeå art/noise band the Female Anchor of Sade. The last deuce pieces in the (External) Noise Conspiracy teaser were constitute in guitarist/organist Sara Almgren and drummer Ludwig Dahlberg, wHO were both playacting with the political tilt stria Saidwas. Prior to Saidwas, Almgren had made a name for herself playing guitar with the Umeå metal outfit Doughnuts. With the card in place for the (External) Noise Conspiracy, the band stepped into the studio apartment in 1999 to record 12 songs. The tracks were released as a series of basketball team 7" records by and by that year on quaternity different labels, including the band's possess The Black Mask Collective, as well as on Premonition, Car Crash, and Trans Solar Records. The legal age of the tracks that comprised these 7"s were presented on the band's number 1 full-length LP, The First Conspiracy, released later that same class on the G-7 Welcoming Committee imprint. The band members likewise unbroken busy with side projects passim the year. Lyxzén released a full-length album, coroneted Songs in the Key of Resistance and a self-titled 7" record with his band the Lost Patrol. El-P collaborator dies
El-P collaborator Camu Tao has died at the age of 30.
The Ohio-based rapper and producer, whose real name was Tero Smith, had been battling lung cancer for nearly two years. He passed away on Sunday (May 25) in his hometown of Columbus.
Tao was signed to the Definitive Jux label. He was a member of the duo S.A. Smash with fellow rapper Metro, performed in the rap group Weathermen, and was part of the Central Services production team with El-P.
In a posting on his blog, El-P wrote:
"We, his friends and family, have truly had our collective hearts broken by (Tao's) passing. Not only because of the loss of our friend, but because of the loss of his contribution to those who never knew what we knew about his talent and his potential.
"He was the secret that no one wanted to keep and we always knew that one day his vision and his heart could change music forever the way he changed all of our lives."

Amy Winehouse - Winehouse Given Appeal Court Date For Drug Possession
British soul star AMY WINEHOUSE has been summoned to appear in a Norwegian court next year (09) to appeal a fine for marijuana possession.
The troubled singer and her husband Blake Fielder-Civil were arrested in Bergen, Norway last year (Oct07) on suspicion of possessing cannabis.
At the time of arrest, the 24-year-old was issued with a $714 (GBP357) fine, which she accepted, not realising that paying up is the same as pleading guilty in the Scandinavian country.
The initial appeal hearing was scheduled for 29 February (08) but was postponed at her lawyer's request because of the absence of her spouse, who is currently incarcerated in London's Pentonville Prison on charges of perverting the course of justice in relation to earlier charges of grievous bodily harm.
On Wednesday (14May08) the singer discovered she would not face drugs charges, relating to a video handed in to police in London in January (08), that purportedly showed her smoking crack cocaine.
A spokesperson for the star says, "Police have confirmed that no action will be taken against Amy Winehouse in relation to an investigation into a video handed to them in January."
"Amy is pleased to be able to move on and concentrate on music and particularly looks forward to seeing her fans again at eagerly awaited festival performances this summer."

Paul Weller - Weller Bragg For Prime Minister
PAUL WELLER is desperate for fellow veteran rocker BILLY BRAGG to become the British Prime Minister - insisting it would be the only way he becomes interested in the country's government.
The former The Jam frontman is sick of similar politicians working in the U.K. - stating they are all too similar to make a difference to the country's future.
But the musician thinks folk star Bragg would be the perfect option for the prestigious role, and is upset the star hasn't already run for office.
He says, "It is a great pity he's (Bragg) not Prime Minister. I can't tell the difference between politicians, they all look exactly the same to me. They all went to the same public school, they all went to the same university - and they're all trying to pander to the mainstream.
"I'm not interested in politics to be honest. It bores the s**t out of me."

Singer Britney Spears has reportedly taught an hour-long dance lesson to a group of young children.
According to People magazine, the 26-year-old singer, who is in the middle of a custody battle over her two sons, took a class at a venue called the Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood.
Robert Baker, director of the dance complex, praised the singer, saying: "The class was amazing."
"She even played age-appropriate games in a circle, pretending to be a choo-choo train."
He said: "Britney was just amazing with the kids and everyone ended up having a blast. At the end of the hour class, all the kids hugged Britney and she seemed very happy."
Baker said that the children who took part in the class were aged between four and seven years of age.

The producers of U.S. sitcom HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER were left so impressed with BRITNEY SPEARS' two guest spots on the show they're pushing for her to win an Emmy.
Ratings for the show soared when the pop star played a ditzy secretary in two recent episodes and now Spears is Emmy bound after being included on the official ballot as a possible nominee.
According to OK! magazine, Spears one of 41 actresses, including Mary-Kate Olsen and Alyssa Milano in contention for a place on the shortlist.
The final ladies will then compete for Emmy gold in September (08).

Aussie Idol Kidnapped By Ex
AUSTRALIAN IDOL star TARISAI VUSHE has revealed she was blindfolded and abducted last week (ends11Apr08) by a former boyfriend.
Vushe refused to file a police report but has told the Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper she was dragged into a car in the driveway of her home on Friday night (11Apr08) and dumped eight hours later.
The wannabe, who competed on the TV talent show last year (07), confesses she could not see her captor during the kidnapping, but she identified her ex's voice as he quizzed her about why their relationship ended.
She says, "(He) kept asking me why I left him, in a really obsessive way."
Vushe has refused to name the man, but told the newspaper she met him when she was living in Zimbabwe.
After her ex let her out of his car, Vushe walked to a nearby gas station and called a taxi.
Her manager, Alex Haddad, says, "I've encouraged her to go to the police, but I can't make her."
